Have you heard about embryo adoption?
This could be a viable option when both partners face a significant hereditary condition, potentially affecting their offspring. Single women, desiring to have a child, might consider embryo donation particularly if their own eggs are unsuitable, or couples who need egg and sperm donation.
This is a really useful article that explains embryo adoption.
Would love to hear from anyone who is considering this or who has been through it.
I’m solo and now 43 so moved into donor eggs.
I considered donor embryos but in the end I decided to go with separate sperm and egg donors.
Two main reasons- I would have more embryos and so able to move on quickly to another transfer if one failed. And I felt more comfortable with the combination of those two donors being unique to my child.
1st transfer was ectopic, 2nd transfer failed this month. Waiting to go into my 3rd transfer in November. (I did PGT-A so all transferred embryos were euploid.)
