Really comforting articles. It really is so hard when you get invitations to these baby showers. You are happy for your pregnant friend and you don’t wish them anything other than happiness, but you are just so heartbroken that it still isn’t your turn. How is it possible to sit in that circle, watching the glowing mother to be so joyous. It’s even harder when you know your friend didn’t have to endure round after round of IVF and end up 20K in debt.
I have been invited to 3 this year!!! I made an excuse for every one. I just can’t do it.

So true. I always felt exactly the same way. I found baby showers so hard. And then I would feel guilty about feeling upset and jealous. But after a while I realised that many of us with infertility dread baby showers and that’s ok, it’s human.
